Veronica Montelongo

Veronica Montelongo, the photogenic co-star of the A&E television show "Flip This House" and wife of the other co-star, Armando Montelongo, has, by being alive today, beaten the odds.

After giving birth to her son, whom they call "Mondo Man," both Veronica and her son became ill, so ill that her doctor and Mondo's pediatrician both determined that they would live no more than another 48 hours unless risky emergency surgeries were performed.  The operations were successful, and after intense post-surgical observation, by what some may consider a miracle, both Veronica and little Mondo not only survived, but also flourished -- regaining their full health.  The ordeal, however, wiped out the Montelongo's finances, placing them deeply in debt and forcing them to sell everything they owned.

The 19th Century German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche, must have had strong-willed Tejanos like the Montelongos in mind when he said:  "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.”  From the near tragedy in the hospital and in the midst of financial desperation, Armando and Veronica Montelongo went on to beat the odds again and build a house flipping empire in San Antonio, Texas that is based on buying houses that are in terrible shape, rebuilding them, and reselling them at a nice profit.

Although Veronica Montelongo not only loves her work with Montelongo House Buyers, but also excels at it, she is not a captive of it.  Veronica is also a dedicated wife, a loving mother, and a homemaker who is as fabulous in the kitchen as she is in the sales office.  Veronica is also darn good at Tai Kwan Do -- ask Armando, he might admit that she can put him down on the mat with ease.
